Show HN: Sprocket – The Best AI Agent for Hardware and Software Development https://ift.tt/PmXS9yY

Show HN: Sprocket – The Best AI Agent for Hardware and Software Development Hey HN, I am 16y/o and have been working on Sprocket for a while. It's an open-source AI agent that beats every other agent out there at both hardware and software. And here's the best part: Sprocket can (on its own) buy anything from any website when you tell it to do so. From hardware parts to SaaS subscriptions. Sprocket retrieves best-in-class context from the web for everything it does. It is therefore incredibly reliable. The agent harness's quality, performance, and UI rival that of Codex/Cursor/T3Code, and we are rapidly improving. We will be releasing benchmarks on how Sprocket beats every other agent at both software and hardware soon. In terms of hardware design, Sprocket can make beautiful schematics in react, create your BOM, and create detailed assembly instructions. Hope you try it out! Thanks, Aarav P.S. if the demo video doesn't load for you, come back after ~1.5hr and it should...

Show HN: I was able to run tiberian sun on cncnet on an M4 MacBook Pro As the title says I was able to run cncnet on a macbook pro with m4 processor. I set GPT 5.6 sol on this and it figured it out. So excited to be able to play one of my childhood games! Enjoy! Everything is build using GPT 5.6 sol btw. I didn't do anything other than testing and prompting. https://ift.tt/husnz70 July 30, 2026 at 11:25PM

Show HN: I made a game where you build a CPU from logic gates https://ift.tt/CRYeA8f

Show HN: I made a game where you build a CPU from logic gates I built ChipBuilder to make computer architecture more approachable through interactive puzzles. You start with basic logic gates like AND, OR, and NOT, then gradually combine them into adders, multiplexers, memory, an ALU, and eventually a complete CPU. Once you've built the hardware, you can write assembly programs that run on the processor you created. The game is inspired by courses like Nand2Tetris, but everything runs directly in the browser with a visual circuit editor, simulations, and progressively harder challenges. https://ift.tt/G5LKhkz July 30, 2026 at 06:33PM

Show HN: College application essay inspiration and brainstorm https://ift.tt/JSlwkK8

Show HN: College application essay inspiration and brainstorm I collected thousands of outstanding college application essays to train a specialized AI model designed to inspire and coach students throughout the essay-writing process. Unlike general-purpose AI, each essay is highly personalized based on the applicant's background, experiences, and personal story. The AI also adapts its writing to emphasize the qualities and values that different universities are looking for. You can browse our essay library for free, explore each applicant's profile, and see exactly why the AI made specific writing choices. By opening the "black box," you'll learn not just what to write, but how and why an effective essay is structured. Everyone can generate up to three application essays for free. I wish I could offer unlimited generations at no cost. However, this project is fully bootstrapped, with no outside investment, and every AI-generated essay incurs computing costs. If y...
